I bet! When I moved my classroom a couple of years ago, I realized why I was always so broke. I spent most of my check on my classroom. Bless YOU and the work you do!
I spend around $500 a year. I want my students to have everything they need. My husband says we could have gone around the world two or three times for what I've spent. I've purchased uniforms, supplies, shoes, food, and even doctor's appointments!
Each year, I find ways to spend a little less, but it is always more than the $250 taxable deduction. I have found ways to be creative with what we use for manipulatives and instead of buying some things, I make them myself. It's a shame. We would never ask a doctor to supply his own gloves or surgical gowns .... But I will NEVER let my students go without. :) Thank you for creating and sharing for all our kids!
A lot more than the $250 the IRS allows.... :o)
